There are four (4) questions on the November ballot that will impact our ability to build more affordable housing and faster.
Question 1: Fast-track affordable housing review
Enables certain affordable housing projects—especially in neighborhoods with the least affordability—to bypass City Council and go directly to the City Planning Commission.
Also allows publicly financed affordable projects to seek zoning relief from the Board of Standards and Appeals instead of going through ULURP.
Yes = faster approvals; No = keep the current process in place.
Question 2: Simplify review for smaller housing & infrastructure projects
